The Vivo V7+ has gotten launched in India, with the brand touting its FullVision Display and 24MP selfie camera. It’s priced the phone at Rs 21990, making it a compelling option for anyone eager to experience a minimal bezel screen without breaking the bank on a Galaxy S8 or LG G6.
Vivo’s take on the borderless trend involves a 5.99-inch HD screen that takes the protection of Gorilla Glass 3, features an 18:9 aspect ratio, sports an 84.4% screen-to-body ratio, and boasts of tiny 2.15mm bezels along either side. The 720p resolution is a disappointment considering how large the handset is.
The V7+ will have to compete with 2 other contenders in the budget bezel-less market space. One is the Micromax Canvas Infinity which has a 5.7-inch HD display and costs Rs 9999. The other is the LG Q6, a downgraded version of the G6 with a 5.5-inch 2160 x 1080p panel which sets buyers back by Rs 14990.
Vivo is looking to further set its latest phone apart using the power of selfies. The device’s 24MP front-facing camera offers a Portrait Mode to blur out the background and focus on the subject, Face Beauty version 7.0, and the brand’s signature Moonlight Glow soft selfie flash.
