It seems the Xiaomi 14 Ultra is ready to make its debut at the Mobile World Congress 2024 event that’s scheduled to take place in Barcelona this February. The phone will apparently join the Xiaomi 14 and Xiaomi 14 Pro handsets at this gala, as they are still to get their respective global launches.

What’s more, some specs of this successor to the Xiaomi 13 Ultra have also leaked into the open thanks to a Weibo post by a Chinese tipster (via GSM Arena). According to the tipster, the phone will ship with a 50MP Sony LYT-900 sensor that’s paired with an ultra-fast f/1.6 lens.

Moreover, this lens is expected to feature a variable aperture as well, with it being able to switch between f/1.6 and f/4.0 depending on the available light. This kind of a setup could do wonders for the Xiaomi 14 Ultra’s low-light performance.

Along with this, the phone is also expected to carry a 120mm periscope telephoto camera with a Vario-Summilux 1:1.63-2.5/12-120 aspherical (ASPH) lens. No other details have been mentioned by the tipster in their post though.

However, we have learned from previous leaks that the Xiaomi 14 Ultra could ship with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor at its heart and will carry a 2K AMOLED screen with a 120Hz refresh rate. A 5180mAh battery is also expected to form part of its offerings, supported by 90W wired charging and 50W wireless charging.

As we said, the Xiaomi 14 Ultra is expected to debut at MWC 2024 alongside the Xiaomi 14 and Xiaomi 14 Pro. Both the phones have already been unveiled for sale in China but are yet to get their global launches.

This arrival of the Xiaomi 14 Ultra will mark the launch of the company’s 2024 flagship lineup and it will be interesting to see how it matches up against its competitors.
