Samsung is keeping its promise of delivering its new Galaxy AI features to older Galaxy devices, which will be getting their due updates from March 28 onwards. One UI 6.1 will be the bearer of these AI traits that were so far exclusive to the Galaxy S24 range.

The Galaxy AI suite, which includes the likes of Live Translate, Chat Assist, and more, will now be accessible to users of the Galaxy S23 series, the Galaxy S23 FE, the Galaxy Z Flip 5, the Galaxy Z Fold 5, and the Galaxy Tab S9 series.

One of the topmost features that will be part of this update is Circle to Search. Powered by Google, it gives you the ability to run an immediate image search on any object on the screen that you draw a circle around or scribble on.

Galaxy AI’s Live Translate, on the other hand, gives real-time translations of phone calls via text as well as voice. Chat Assist does live translations on your instant messages and also helps you fix typos and completely alter the nature of your messages based on the tone you want.

Also part of Galaxy AI is Note Assist, which makes its presence known in the Samsung Notes app by auto-formatting, summarising, spell-checking, and translating your notes. It can moreover, also generate appropriate covers for your notes.

Photo editing receives a huge boost with Galaxy AI’s Generative Edit technology. It gives you unprecedented resizing and object-moving capabilities by automatically creating new backgrounds to fill gaps and spaces seamlessly.

All these features were first introduced via the Samsung Galaxy S24 range that was launched earlier this year. However, Samsung has indeed said that some Galaxy AI features will be offered as part of a paid tier in the years to come.
