OnePlus India has launched a new exchange scheme to entice potential customers into buying the OnePlus One, OnePlus 2 or OnePlus X. The brand has partnered with ReGlobe for the initiative, which begins from November 30 till December 31.
Under the terms of the offer, OnePlus is also providing its B2X Service and B2X On-Guard Plus service free of cost for the OnePlus 2 and OnePlus X, respectively. However, the value of the old handset will have to be more than or equal to Rs 5000 for this to be applicable. Additionally, the OnePlus One is not being offered with any insurance.
Interested folks can get their old device valued via the official OnePlus page for the scheme or through ReGlobe. Note that only a limited number of smartphones are eligible for the program, with brands like Apple, Samsung, Xiaomi and HTC featured on the latter’s dedicated page. Furthermore, only people residing in select cities can exchange their phone.
The list comprises of Chennai, Delhi, Mumbai, Secunderabad, Gurgaon, Noida, Faridabad, Ahmedabad, Lucknow, Ghaziabad, Kolkata, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Secunderabad, Pune, Chandigarh, Jaipur, and Kolkata. Once a person has registered their interest and accepted the quote offered, ReGlobe will contact them and confirm the details.

OnePlus states there are two ways to go about the buyback program. One is dubbed ‘Buy First, Sell Later’ and the other is called ‘Sell First, Buy Next’. In the former, the customer chooses to purchase their desired smartphone first. ReGlobe will send them an invite code and schedule a pick up. A link for the insurance and an Amazon Gift Coupon will be sent once everything is found to be in order.
The latter option is for people who want to sell their previous model 1st. They will receive the invite code and Amazon Gift Coupon once the transaction is complete. Individuals can also opt for cash instead of a coupon, but will have to forego the free insurance in that case. The invites received under these schemes will expire after a set period of time.
