The OnePlus 2 is set to be available via an open sale once again, this time as part of a special Black Friday deal. The vending is keeping in line with earlier promises for more invite-free sales following the first set the brand conducted in countries across the world back in October.
Indians can snap up the OnePlus 2 without an invite from midnight on November 25 till 11:59 pm on November 27. The company is planning to host the open sale in other places beginning from the latter date till the 30th of November. The teaser image on the company’s international Twitter page also mentions special holiday deals.
While there’s no mention on what could be on offer, OnePlus had granted a discount on several of its smartphone accessories during its Black Friday event last year. Furthermore, the company’s India Twitter handle has announced the manufacturer is turning a year old within a week. It’s planning to mark the occasion with a week-long celebration.
OnePlus recently revealed its roadmap for delivering the Android 6.0 Marshmallow update to the OnePlus One and 2. The China-based brand’s CEO Carl Pei confirmed that both would begin receiving the upgrade within the 1st quarter of 2016. Cyanogen will be developing the OS of the former, as the phone ships with the OS.

Pei confirmed OnePlus is working on a community build of OxygenOS for the One. As for the OnePlus 2, it’s set to get the new standard Marshmallow API (application program interface) for the fingerprint sensor. There’s no word yet on when the handset maker is planning to hand out Marshmallow to the OnePlus X.
