The Huawei Honor Z1 Band has been unleashed in India, nearly a month after it was announced in the country. The smartwatch is now available exclusively via Flipkart and is priced at Rs 5499.
Aimed at the budget market segment, the Huawei Honor Z1 Band carries a 1.06-inch P-OLED circular touchscreen display with a resolution of 128 x 128p. It packs a 70mAh battery which is supposed to last for 14 days of standby time and 3 days of usage on a single charge. The company claims it can be fully powered up within 1.5 hours thanks to fast charging support.
Huawei also promises the wearable can survive an entire day of utilization from just 10 minutes of charging through a magnetic dock. The device features a stainless steel design and a hypoallergenic TPU fabric strap in black and cream colors. It’s powered by a Cortex M4 STM32F411 processor working in collaboration with 128KB of RAM.
The Z1 Band contains 512KB of internal flash memory. The smartwatch is compatible with both the Android and iOS platforms. People will have to download the MyFitnessPal app to their smartphones in order to record data such as number of steps walked, calories burned and distance covered. It additionally keeps track of the number of hours slept.
Other features include notification alerts for SMSes and calls, a customizable homescreen and a calendar. The Huawei device can be connected using Bluetooth, which apparently has a range of 10m in open space. The fitness tracker has also been equipped with IP68 certification, which means it’s dust-tight and waterproof up to a depth of 1.5m underwater.
