Vodafone has thrown a fresh challenge at Reliance Jio with a brand new Campus Survival Kit that specifically targets students. The scheme is currently only available in Delhi-NCR, but will be rolled out across India in a phased manner.
The Vodafone Campus Survival Kit is priced at Rs 445 and can only be taken up for new connections. It arms youngsters with 1GB of 3G or 4G data per day and unlimited voice calls. It’ll be active for 84 days, post which users can recharge for Rs 352 to get the same benefits.
The difference is due to the fact that the first recharge additionally gives away a free messenger bag and discount coupons for services like Ola and Zomato. The second recharge won’t be bundled with those freebies.
Vodafone India National Head for consumer marketing Arvind Nevatia told PTI that the recharge value may change from circle to circle as it becomes more widely available in India. The company presently offers a similar deal at Rs 349. The package includes 1GB of data and 300 free minutes per day for 84 days, with the limit set at 1200 minutes per week.
However, this is a limited period scheme specifically for Delhi-NCR customers. Vodafone India recently announced a separate pack called the First Recharge Coupon (FRC) 244 which gives away 1GB of data per day and unlimited calls to any Vodafone customer, but only for 70 days. Again, this is only valid for new connections.
