Motorola Moto X Force shatterproof phone hits India at Rs 49999

After weeks of teasing and a premature listing, the Motorola Moto X Force has finally been unleashed in India. The handset is priced at Rs 49999 for the 32GB storage version and Rs 53999 for the 64GB one.

The Motorola Moto X Force marks a break from tradition for the brand as it will be sold through multiple offline and online outlets at launch instead of being restricted to Flipkart. There had been a hint of this development happening last week when the phone was put up on Amazon India ahead of its unveiling.

Motorola will vend the new smartphone via Flipkart and Amazon, in addition to physical stores like Spice and Croma starting from February 8. The move towards wider availability should help the manufacturer shift more units of the device than it could have before, given the number of Indians who still favor buying phones via a brick-and-mortar shop.
