Owners of the Motorola Moto G Turbo Edition have begun receiving the upgrade to Android 6.0 Marshmallow, just over a month after the handset was released in India. The update will probably be sent out to all users gradually in a phased manner.
The rollout of Android 6.0 Marshmallow for the Motorola Moto G Turbo Edition comes only a few weeks after the company had officially announced the older Moto G (3rd Gen) would start getting it. The brand’s update schedule seems to be going as planned, having already sent out the new OS to the Moto X (2nd Gen), Moto X Play and Moto X Style in India.
The availability of Android Marshmallow should serve to sweeten the deal for potential buyers of the Motorola smartphone, which got a Rs 2000 cut in price last week. The phone is now selling for Rs 12499. There’s also an exchange offer worth up to Rs 5000 on it.
