The Gionee P5W has landed in India, a couple of months after the handset was first spotted on the brand’s global website. The company has slapped the phone with a Rs 6499 price tag.
The chief factor which sets the Gionee P5W apart from its competitors within the entry-level market segment is the wide range of colors it comes in. Interested consumers can buy it in white, yellow, blue, red and black. Gionee is looking to further enhance the smartphone’s appeal by offering each shade with a matching UI to go with it.
The system’s color combination can be modified through the brand’s Chameleon feature. Taking a closer look at its hardware specs, the Gionee handset has been stuffed with 16GB of internal storage. Users can expand on its memory capabilities up to 128GB via a microSD card slot. Its daily tasks are conducted through a 64-bit 1.3GHz octa-core MediaTek MT6735 processor working in tandem with 1GB of RAM.

The dual-SIM P5W derives its juice from a 2000mAh battery. The powerhouse is supposed to survive for up to 384 hours of standby time on 2G and 10 hours of talk time on 3G. As for its camera skills, the device houses a 5MP main snapper equipped with LED flash, alongside a 2MP front-facing one for selfies.
