The Gionee P5W has been spotted on the Chinese company’s global website without any price or availability details. It’s expected to arrive on Indian shores soon and be placed within the entry-level market segment.
The dual-SIM Gionee P5W distinguishes itself from other budget polycarbonate phones by coming in a variety of colors namely blue, white, red, black and yellow. Each shade has been paired with a matching UI, which is based on Android 5.1 Lollipop. Taking a closer look at its other specs, the phone is fueled by an octa-core 1.3GHz MediaTek MT6735 processor.
The Gionee device derives its power from a 2000mAh battery. It carries a 5-inch IPS screen with a resolution of 720 x 1280p. On the memory front, it contains 1GB of RAM and 16GB of ROM. It sports a 5MP primary camera with LED flash, alongside a 2MP front-facing one for selfies and video calls. The phone has also been equipped with DTS 3D Stereo surround sound technology and Face Unlock.

Gionee recently launched the Marathon M5 in India. The phone boasts of having a massive 6020mAh battery setup which is composed of 2 3010mAh units. Thanks to this system, the smartphone could potentially last a user for up to 4 days on a single charge. The brand is currently selling a 3GB of RAM and 32GB of ROM variant of the handset in the country.
