Asus has become the latest smartphone maker to join hands with Reliance Jio to offer free data to its customers. The brand’s Additional Data Offer is valid on all devices bought on or after 16 June 2017 and gives away a maximum of 100GB of 4G data.
The scheme is divided into 3 groups of phones, each eligible to get a different portion of free data. Owners of the ZenFone Selfie, ZenFone Max, ZenFone Live, ZenFone Go 4.5 LTE, ZenFone Go 5.0 LTE, and ZenFone Go 5.5 LTE can get 3GB of 4G data with every recharge of Rs 309 or above. The deal is valid for up to 10 recharges on or before 31 March 2018.
People who use the ZenFone 2, ZenFone 2 Laser, ZenFone 2 Laser 5.5, ZenFone 3S Max, ZenFone 3 Laser, ZenFone 3 Max 5.2, and ZenFone 3 Max 5.5 will be blessed with 5GB of 4G data with every recharge. Finally, the last group is populated by the ZenFone 3 5.2, ZenFone 3 5.5, ZenFone Zoom, ZenFone 3 Deluxe, and ZenFone 3 Ultra.
Anyone who owns Asus devices from the last category is set to receive 10GB of free 4G data for every recharge under the same conditions mentioned above. Both online and offline purchases are eligible for the scheme.
Once an Asus smartphone is in a person’s hands, they’ll have to download the MyJio app, head to My Vouchers, and then View voucher. They’ll have to recharge for Rs 309 or above at this point via the Recharge my number option followed by Confirm recharge. A successful recharge notification should then be sent their way.
Other than Asus, even Xiaomi and Gionee have partnered with Reliance Jio to deliver free data to customers. The former gives away up to 30GB of extra data and the latter 10GB.
