Two months after it was unveiled in China, Asus has launched its ZenFone 3 series for India at an event in New Delhi. The smartphone range shares features like full metal bodies, Android 6.0 Marshmallow and hybrid dual SIM card slots in all its versions.
The ZenFone 3 is the base model which is available in two variants. The ZE520KL has a display of 5.2 inches along with 3GB RAM and 32GB ROM. It is juiced by a 2650mAh battery. The ZE552KL has a screen of 5.5 inches and a 3000mAh powerhouse. Its storage is of 64GB paired with 4GB RAM.
Asus has provided common features like a Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 processor, memory expandability of up to 2TB, and 4G connectivity in the two. The ZE520KL is priced at Rs 21999 and the ZE550KL is available for Rs 27999.
The ZenFone 3 Laser has a HD display of 5.5 inches and Snapdragon 430 SoC. It is equipped with 4GB RAM and 32GB of internal memory that can be expanded up to 128GB. The 13MP rear camera is packed with laser autofocus and EIS technology. The front lens is of 8MP resolution. The phone will be sold for Rs 18999.
The ZenFone 3 Ultra has a full HD display of 6.8 inches. It runs on a Snapdragon 652 processor in combination with 4GB RAM. Its internal storage of 64GB can be used to save pictures shot using the 23MP main and 8MP front shooter. The device has a 4600mAh battery and is priced at Rs 49999.
The star of the series is the ZenFone 3 Deluxe special edition. Asus has launched an India-specific version which uses the Snapdragon 821 chipset for the first time in the country. The processor is combined with 6GB RAM and 256GB ROM in this handset. The variant is sold for Rs 62999.

The entry-level ZenFone 3 Deluxe runs on the Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor alongside 4GB RAM and 64GB of device memory. Barring the above mentioned specs, this version shares its features with its special edition counterpart. This model will go up for sale at Rs 49999.
