Asus Zenfone Go 5.5 launching on Amazon India tomorrow

Asus sure is having a busy week, first announcing a new phone and then massive discounts on its older devices. Starting from May 12, Amazon India will start selling the new Asus Zenfone Go 5.5 in charcoal black and sheer gold. The price of the handset is Rs 8,499 and it’s very similar to the Zenfone Live in terms of specifications.

Carrying the model number ZB552KL, the Zenfone Go 5.5 spells out its screen size in its name. Unfortunately, the IPS display is not full HD but of 720p resolution. It has a bluelight filter built into it to protect the eyes from strain. The smartphone runs on almost two-year old Android Marshmallow tempered with the company’s homegrown ZenUI 3.0 software.

Selfie addicts will have to make do with the phone’s 5MP front camera. The list of disappointments mostly end there. Flip the device onto its face and you’ll be able to see a 13MP camera with dual LED real-tone flash and a physical button for adjusting the volume or clicking photos via the 5MP lens.
