The OnePlus 2 can now be grabbed invite-free in India, a few months after it was launched under the pesky system. The company has been hosting numerous open sales since its release, and has now decided to free the device of constraints forever.
To recall, OnePlus had announced the OnePlus 2 will be available invite-free last week. However, the December 5 date it set was for international markets and was not applicable in India. In a later blog post, the handset maker confirmed that the phone will be on a permanent open sale in the nation starting from December 7 at 2 pm.
OnePlus recently announced it was rolling out Android 6.0 Marshmallow for the OnePlus 2 and OnePlus One. While there’s no specific date set yet, the brand’s CEO Carl Pei said the update would come out by the 1st quarter of 2016. There’s very little known about what the upgrade will come with, except that it’s set to contain the new standard Marshmallow API for the fingerprint sensor.

OnePlus also came out with a limited-period exchange scheme in partnership with ReGlobe for all 3 of its devices. The offer is valid till December 31 and also comes with free B2X Service and B2X On-Guard Plus service for the OnePlus 2 and OnePlus X. For the free insurance to be applicable, the old handset must be valued at Rs 5000 or more.
