Xiaomi tipped to introduce high-resolution display equipped phone in India

By now, it’s pretty obvious that the Xiaomi Mi 4i smartphone will be the one to go official at the company’s ‘Global Mi Phone Premiere’ next week. And a new teaser from the company further confirms this by hinting at the device again and also its features.

A new post on the Mi India Facebook page reads ‘Are all screens of the same size the same?’ with an image showing two frames of the Mona Lisa, but one being heavily pixilated. The picture also reads ‘looks the same?’ with the words ‘i disagrees’ just below. This teaser is hinting at two things, one being the Xiaomi Mi 4i which is represented as the letter ‘i.’

Additionally, it also points to a high resolution display on the Xiaomi handset which according to previously leaked data, will be a 4.9-inch or 5-inch 1920 x 1080 pixel LCD panel. The company will most certainly offer the phone as a highly affordable option mainly since it features slightly toned-down hardware compared to that of the original Mi 4.

Benchmark listings have revealed quite a bit of information on the Mi 4i smartphone. Unlike the original that’s currently running KitKat, this phone will have Android 5.0 Lollipop out of the box. Also, it will be powered by an octa core Snapdragon 615 processor instead of the high-end quad core Snapdragon 801.
