Xiaomi Redmi 4, Mi Note 2 specs leaked

A couple of weeks before its rumored launch, images of the Xiaomi Redmi 4 and Mi Note 2 have leaked online on Weibo. Speculations about the devices are doing the rounds while the company prepares to inaugurate the handsets in China later this month.

Based on the leaked images, the Xiaomi Redmi 4 has a metal unibody and round edges. The rear of the device has been fitted with a camera lens, flash unit, fingerprint sensor and is host to antenna bands at the top and bottom. Its 5-inch screen may be held by a thin bezel on its sides and is likely to be in full HD resolution.

Rumors suggest that the Redmi 4 will operate on Android 6.0 Marshmallow and MIUI 8 skin. It might be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 chipset. Previous leaks indicate that the phone would be available in two versions. One may have 2GB RAM and internal storage of 16GB, while the other could possess 3GB RAM and 32GB of inbuilt memory.

Connectivity options like 4G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and GPS are expected to be present on the Xiaomi phone. The device will reportedly go up for sale at CNY 699 (approximately Rs 7000). It might be launched officially at an event on August 25.

Xiaomi Mi Note 2

The Mi Note 2 is the higher-end product with specs such as a dual camera setup having a resolution of 12MP each. The bottom of the device sports two speaker grills and an ultrasonic fingerprint sensor as seen in the images above. Leaks indicate that it has a curved Quad HD screen. The phone might run on the Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 SoC.

According to Gadgets 360, the Xiaomi Mi Note 2 will be available in two variants with 6GB RAM in common. One may have 64GB of internal memory and the other 128GB. The two are rumored to be priced at CNY 2499 (approximately Rs 25000) and CNY 2799 (about Rs 28000), respectively. It is expected to be out on September 2.
