Vodafone now offering 27GB free 4G data for 3 months

Vodafone’s finally catching up with the likes of Airtel and BSNL in its quest to compete with Reliance Jio. The telecom brand has apparently launched a new offer for its postpaid customers where they’ll get up to 9GB of free data on top of their existing monthly plan for 3 months.

This adds up to 27GB of free 4G data. According to Gadgets360, the deal will expire mid-July and can be taken up by any postpaid user who has a 4G smartphone and is part of a plan with at least 1GB of bundled data. It claims that people have to go to the operator’s website, enter their phone number, and get an OTP to activate the scheme.

However, we couldn’t find this particular deal on Vodafone’s site. The only offer involving 9GB of free monthly data for 3 months is exclusively for people who have a new 4G smartphone. It’s possible the scheme mentioned above is only meant for specific customers.

Vodafone is currently running a separate promotion for users who upgrade to a 4G SIM on their 4G-ready handset. They’ll get 4GB of data free after entering their mobile number on the brand’s site. On the prepaid side of things, the company recently announced a new prepaid pack which gave away 2GB of data every day for a period of 28 days and unlimited calls at Rs 352.
