Samsung Galaxy Note 8 to go up for pre-orders in India on Sep 11

The Samsung Galaxy Note 8 might be making its way to India on September 11 and go up for pre-orders on the same day. The date has come courtesy a BSU report which cites reliable sources.

To recall, the Galaxy Note 8 made its international debut a few days ago and has already gone up for pre-orders in various countries. It’s set to hit shelves all over the world on September 15. Samsung hasn’t declared when its flagship phone will be landing in India just yet.

The report also goes on to assert that the Galaxy Note 8 will be priced at Rs 74900. The device is available at $930 (roughly Rs 59580) in the US. If the figure turns out to be accurate, the smartphone will be much more expensive in India than a direct conversion suggests.

Interestingly, Rs 74900 was the original asking rate of the 128GB/6GB Galaxy S8+ when it first arrived in India in June 2017. The handset has gotten two major discounts since then, rendering its cost down to Rs 65900. Samsung hasn’t offered an official reason as to why it decided to do so, but it seems likely that it was trying to make room for the Galaxy Note 8.
