The OnePlus 5T is all set to go official on November 16 at an event called “A New View” in New York. The phone will then go up for sale on November 21 in North America, Europe, and India.
It should be noted that OnePlus is holding a flash sale on November 21 in India. The proper full-blown vending process will begin on November 28. The company has also announced a special live theatre streaming of the launch event for fans in India on November 16 at 9:30 pm.
OnePlus has tied up with PVR for the streaming, so people staying in Mumbai, New Delhi, Pune, Hyderabad, and Bengaluru can watch the event on a massive theatre screen. Tickets cost Rs 99, bundling a free popcorn and coke set and a OnePlus 2018 calendar worth Rs 799. They’ll go up for sale on November 8 at 10 am.
People who don’t stay in the above mentioned metros or don’t want to spend Rs 99 for a ticket can always stream the occasion from the comfort of their own homes for free. OnePlus has clarified that it won’t be selling the OnePlus 5T at these screenings, although attendees will get to check out a demo device.
OnePlus has been steadily releasing a number of teasers for the OnePlus 5T. All-in-all, it’s safe to say the smartphone will be adopting a trendy 18:9 display and retaining the 3.5mm headphone jack. Amazon India has put up a page for the handset, so it’ll probably be the exclusive online outlet for the phone.
