Nextbit Robin India launch set for May 25

The cloud-focused Nextbit Robin is all set to hit India on May 25, with the brand now sending out press invites for a launch event in New Delhi on that date. The phone was supposed to arrive in the nation by the end of April originally, but its local debut here was delayed for some reason.

To recall, the Nextbit Robin originally came out in the US back in September last year. It’s priced at $399 there, which translates to approximately Rs 26000. The handset’s claim to fame is its cloud-based Nextbit OS. The software ensures that users never run of space by analyzing their activity and shifting unused apps to the cloud on its own.

The Robin also backs up all files and apps to the cloud automatically. Buyers can take advantage of 32GB of internal room which is further augmented by 100GB of cloud storage. It’ll be interesting to see how successful the handset is in India once it arrives here, given the fact that the phone requires constant access to the internet to complete its tasks.
