Motorola Moto 360 (2nd Gen) lands in India starting at Rs 19999

The Motorola Moto 360 (2nd Gen) has arrived in India and will go on sale exclusively via Flipkart and Myntra starting from December 1 at 7:30 pm. The smartwatch was first seen at IFA 2015 earlier this year and boasts of a slimmer design than its predecessor.

The price of the Motorola Moto 360 (2nd Gen) starts at Rs 19999 for the 42mm rose gold and leather variant. The 42mm metal version costs Rs 22999 and the 46mm black model retails for Rs 23999. The 42mm comes with a 1.37-inch display featuring a resolution of 360 x 325 pixels, while the 46mm has a 1.56-inch screen with a 360 x 330 pixels resolution.

All variants of the Moto 360 (2nd Gen) are encased within Gorilla Glass 3 and are made out of aircraft-grade stainless steel. Coming to its specs, the device is powered by a 1.2GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 quad-core processor and an Adreno 306 GPU clocked at 450MHz. It contains 512MB of RAM and 4GB of internal space.

The Motorola device runs on Android Wear and is compatible with the Android and iOS platforms. The manufacturer has further fortified it with IP67 certification, which means it’s dust-tight and water resistant up to a depth of 30 feet for 30 minutes. The 42mm version is backed by a 300mAh battery and can survive for 1.5 days of mixed use with Ambient off and 1 day with it on.

The 46mm unit houses a bigger 400mAh battery which Motorola promises lasts for 2 days with Ambient off and 1 day with it on. The wearable supports Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g, Bluetooth 4.0 LE and GPS. Users can keep track of various activities like steps walked and calories burned, in addition to receiving notifications through the Moto Body app.

Once again, the Motorola Moto 360 (2nd Gen) will be available at 7:30 pm on December 1 through Flipkart and Myntra.
