The Micromax Canvas Spark 2 Plus has been unveiled in India and is all set to be sold exclusively via e-commerce site Snapdeal. The smartphone has been slapped with a Rs 3999 price tag and will be available starting from April 22.
The dual-SIM Micromax Canvas Spark 2 Plus is the first handset by the brand to run Android 6.0 Marshmallow out-of-the-box. Running the software will likely help the phone distinguish itself from opponents within the budget segment, most of which still come with Lollipop. It’ll be up against other devices which offer the latest OS like the InFocus Bingo 10.
Sadly, the Canvas Spark 2 Plus doesn’t offer support for 4G connectivity, a drawback considering how common the feature has become among affordable phones these days. It’s clearly aimed at the masses and first-time smartphone users, shipping pre-loaded with the Indus regional language app.

As for its other specifications, the Micromax device carries a 5-inch FWVGA (480 x 854p) screen and a 2000mAh battery. In terms of memory, it packs 1GB of RAM and 8GB of internal storage. The latter is expandable up to 32GB via a microSD card.
