LeEco claims it’s sold over 2 lakh units of its smartphones in India within 30 days, a feat which the brand asserts is an industry record. The company had arrived in India two months ago armed with the Le 1s and Le Max and has been selling the two here via flash sales held on Flipkart.
The LeEco Le 1s has apparently garnered over 2028000 registrations over the course of 3 flash sales, another number which the China-based manufacturer says is the highest ever in India. To recall, its first round of vending supposedly saw 70000 units of the phone getting sold out within 2 seconds.
Cumulatively, LeEco states the device has seen 220000 total orders within 31 seconds across the 3 flash sales. Atul Jain, the firm’s COO for Smart Electronic Devices, had previously proclaimed that he expects the company to break into the top 3 handset makers in India by the end of the year.

It’ll have to beat out stalwarts like Samsung and Micromax to gain entry to that list. Both the Le 1s and Le Max feature advanced specs at an affordable cost. This is probably the reason why the two are doing so well in the country, given the rapid rise in demand for budget smartphones over the past few years.
