70000 LeEco Le 1s units sold out within 2 seconds

The first flash sale of the LeEco Le 1s has apparently been a huge success for the company as it sold over 70000 units of the phone within 2 seconds. The in-demand handset’s next round of vending is set to take place on February 9 via Flipkart.

Nearly 6.05 lakh individuals had supposedly signed up to buy the LeEco Le 1s in the days leading up to its sale. Flipkart Chief Business Officer Ankit Nagori asserts this number has shattered previous registration records. Le Ecosystem Technology COO Atul Jain expects the company to rank among the top 3 players in India by the end of 2016.

When questioned as to why LeEco chose to provide only 70000 units of the device during the vending against the high volume of registrations, Jain told PTI that the numbers don’t always get converted into sales. He went on to state that the China-based brand was looking to retail the handset through a zero-profit model.
