LeEco Le 1s (Eco), LeEco Membership ‘supertainment’ service launched

The confusingly named LeEco Le 1s (Eco) has made its debut in India along side the brand’s new LeEco Membership ‘supertainment’ ecosytem. While the Made in India handset is priced at Rs 10899, the brand is offering it at Rs 9999 for its inaugural flash sale on May 12 via Flipkart.

The LeEco Le 1s (Eco) is being positioned as a fresh variant of its predecessor with enhanced software features but no update in terms of hardware. Buyers are set to get a free 1-year subscription to the LeEco Membership streaming and on-demand service worth Rs 4900. Patrons will get access to premium features within the company’s new line of apps.

Le Vidi is an open syndication platform which collects popular videos and is set to offer over 2000 movies through a partnership with Eros Now. Le Live promises to supply users with access to over 9 live channels simultaneously, in addition to 100 premium TV channels courtesy Yupp TV.

LeEco has joined hands with Hungama for its Le Music app. The tool comes with features like mood-based discovery for songs and videos, ad-free streaming, offline content saving, and 320Kbps audio. Finally, the LeEco Drive application gives away a staggering 5TB of cloud storage to consumers.

Current owners of LeEco handsets are set to receive all the above software goodies via an OTA update soon.
