The Intex Aqua Secure has been launched in India and is set to hit e-commerce sites and retail shops across India. The phone is priced at Rs 6499, effectively placing it within the highly cut-throat entry-level market segment in the country.
The company is looking to set the Intex Aqua Secure apart from its competitors by blessing it with a fingerprint scanner on its rear surface. The handset is the first offering by the brand to sport such a setup. Adding to the device’s appeal is its 4G connectivity and VoLTE support, although there are a number of affordable handsets which offer this feature now.
The Intex phone will have to battle it out against phones like the Note 3 Lite. The Coolpad phone retails for Rs 6999 and also offers a fingerprint sensor. It further ships with a 5-inch 720p screen, a 1.3GHz quad-core MediaTek MT6735 processor, a 2500mAh battery, 16GB of ROM, 3GB of RAM, a 13MP rear camera, and a 5MP front-facing snapper.
