The Intex Cloud Fame has been launched in India and is all set to be sold exclusively via e-commerce site Snapdeal. The entry-level phone will be available in dark blue and chocolate brown colors and is priced at Rs 3999.
The biggest highlight of the dual-SIM Intex Cloud Fame at its cost is its support for 4G connectivity. It joins the growing tide of entry-level LTE phones in India. While its specs wouldn’t raise an eyebrow within the affordable market segment, the company has tried to distinguish it from its competitors by blessing it with Android 6.0 Marshmallow out-of-the-box.
A vast majority of budget phones today run on Lollipop, with little hopes of an upgrade to Marshmallow in the future. Exceptions include phones like the InFocus Bingo 10 and Micromax Canvas Spark 2 Plus. The second notably came out last month and costs the same as the Cloud Fame.
While the Micromax handset has a lot in common with the Intex device, it offers a bigger 5-inch screen, larger 2000mAh battery and faster 1.3GHz quad-core processor. However, it only supports 3G networks; a significant drawback.
Here’s a neat summary of the main specs of the Intex Cloud Fame:
– OS: Android 6.0 Marshmallow
– Display: 4.5-inch, 480 x 854 pixels
– CPU: quad-core 1GHz MediaTek
– Storage: 8GB, expandable up to 32GB
– RAM: 1GB
– Camera: 5MP rear, 2MP front
– Battery: 1800mAh
– Connectivity: 4G, dual-SIM, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, microUSB 2.0
Like we said above, the Intex Cloud Fame will be sold exclusively via Snapdeal at Rs 3999.
