The Intex Aqua HD 5.0 and Aqua Y2 have quietly gone official in India as both smartphones have been listed on the company’s website. Prices for the handsets are also displayed at Rs 7790 and Rs 5190, respectively, but there’s no mention about availability as yet.
The Intex Aqua HD 5.0 is not only costlier of the two, but also beefier. The handset is your average mid-range release featuring a 5-inch 720p HD IPS display and a 1.3GHz quad core processor. It comes with Android 4.4 KitKat out of the box and has the standard memory provisions of 1GB RAM, 8GB storage and 32GB microSD expandability.
The main highlight of the Intex handset is that it delivers dual high resolution cameras on the cheap. The rear has a 13MP shooter with an LED flash, while the front packs a 5MP selfie snapper. The company has also thrown in dual SIM card slos with HSPA connectivity and a 2300mAh battery that can deliver just about 6 hours of 3G talk time.

The Aqua HD 5.0 will be offered in black-golden and blue-golden shades. Coming to the Aqua Y2, the device is the third addition in the series which comprises of the Y2 Remote and Y2 Pro handsets. Like its siblings, the phone continues to deliver entry-level hardware and is also powered by Android 4.4 KitKat.
