iBall Cobalt Solus 4G with 13MP camera out now for Rs 11999

The iBall Cobalt Solus 4G, the company’s first LTE-ready handset, has been released and will be available through both offline and online retailers. It’s officially priced at Rs 11999, but is currently selling on eBay India for Rs 9901.

The iBall Cobalt Solus 4G is a dual-SIM dual-standby phone with a 5-inch IPS 720p screen and a 2000mAh battery. The device is powered by a quad-core Cortex-A53 processor clocked at 1GHz. In terms of memory, it has 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage, out of which 5GB is used up by the OS and the 11GB left over is for personal use.

There’s no mention of a microSD card slot to add more space. The Cobalt Solus 4G runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop and carries a 13MP autofocus rear camera with LED flash, alongside an 8MP front-facing lens for selfies. The phone’s connectivity options consist of Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, HotKnot file transfer, Bluetooth 4.0, microUSB 2.0 and A-GPS.

The iBall smartphone will be up against other budget 4G phones like the Canvas Play 4G. The Micromax handset is more expensive at Rs 12499 and has similar features, except for a 2280mAh battery, an unknown quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon SoC, a 5.5-inch 720p screen and a 5MP front-facing snapper.

The iBall Cobalt Solus 4G has support for over 15 Indian regional languages. Like we said above, it costs Rs 11999 and is out through retailers such as eBay now.
