The Alcatel Pop Star has landed in India, months after making its debut at IFA back in September last year. The brand has decided to launch only the 4G variant of the phone here and is currently selling it exclusively via Gadgets 360.
The Alcatel Pop Star comes across as a standard entry-level phone for its Rs 6999 price tag. The international model had a special swappable back feature which doesn’t seem to have made its way to India as it’s only being sold in metal gold and metal silver colors.
Diving into its specs, the Pop Star derives its power from a 2000mAh battery. The powerhouse can apparently last for up to 18 hours of talk time and 400 hours of standby time. Photography enthusiasts can click pictures with an 8MP primary snapper accompanied by LED flash. There’s also a 5MP snapper for selfies and video calls.

Alcatel has equipped the device with a 1GHz quad-core processor of unknown make to handle its daily tasks. In terms of memory, it packs 1GB of RAM and 8GB of internal storage. Users who run out of space quickly can expand on the phone’s memory capacity via a microSD card slot.
