The wallet-friendly Alcatel Flash 2 has arrived in India and will be up on sale exclusively via online retailer Flipkart for Rs 9299. Registrations for the device are open from October 20 to 26, with it set to be available for grabs on October 27. One of its biggest draws has to be the 13MP lens on the rear panel.
The company has retained the same camera specs as that of the predecessor of the Alcatel Flash 2, but has added some extra features to improve its abilities. The new device houses a 13MP shooter endowed with a Samsung S5K3M2 ISOCELL sensor, RealTone flash and Phase Detection Autofocus (PDAF). Its 5MP selfie snapper is accompanied by LED flash, an 84-degree wide-angle lens, an aperture of f/2.2 and autofocus.
Taking a closer look at its other specs, the Flash 2 carries a 5-inch IPS 720p screen and runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop. It’s powered by an octa-core 64-bit 1.3GHz MediaTek MT6753 processor, working in tandem with a Mali-T720 GPU and 2GB of RAM. It packs 16GB of internal storage. Users can expand its memory capabilities up to 128GB via a microSD card slot.

The 4G-ready Alcatel device is backed by a 3000mAh battery. The company promises it can last for a maximum of 25 days or 600 hours of standby time and 25 hours of talk time using 2G. Connectivity options include Wi-Fi 802.11b/g/n, microUSB 2.0 and Bluetooth.
