The Alcatel OneTouch Flash 2 is all set to be unveiled on September 22, 10 months after the company launched the previous variant of the phone in India. Not much is known about the upcoming smartphone, except that it has a 5-inch screen.
Other specifications or pricing details about the Alcatel OneTouch Flash 2 are scarce. The brand has kicked off a social media campaign to promote the phone till September 22. It’s planning to host an online press conference on that day and is also live-streaming the event on its website.
The teaser image of the Flash 2 depicts a handset with a metal ring around the rear lens. The manufacturer claims the device will redefine photography with advanced camera technology. Its predecessor had a 13MP autofocus main snapper accompanied by LED flash. We expect the forthcoming smartphone will be a significant upgrade over that.
Alcatel has further changed its brand color to green. The change is meant to represent an important new feature in the smartphone. Going by the posters revealed so far, it could be related to an environmentally-friendly function. A teaser video for the Flash 2 shows the device surrounded by a number of white boxes with a green corner on the package.

The company recently announced it was bringing the Alcatel SmartWatch to India soon. The brand is planning to sell the gadget exclusively through Flipkart. The device runs on its own OS but is compatible with both Android and iOS platforms. The circular watch sends notifications about topics like the weather and emails. It sports a 1.22-inch IPS TFT 240 x 204p display and contains a 210mAh battery.
