Airtel offering 140GB data with latest Rs 449 pack

The latest Airtel offer directly takes on Reliance Jio, with just a Rs 1 difference between them. This is a common sight in the telecom industry nowadays, with operators forced to introduce plans to retain customers and attract new ones.

Airtel Offer 448

Airtel has a fresh Rs 449 pack in place to do just that. The scheme gives away 2GB of 3G/4G data every day for 70 days. Users will also get unlimited national roaming, local, and STD calls. They’ll further have access to 100 local and STD SMSes per day.

Airtel Offer vs Reliance Jio Offer

The Airtel offer lasts for 70 days. This effectively translates to having 140GB of data over the entire validity period. That’s a lot of data, but Reliance Jio has an even better deal. It’s dishing out 168GB of data over an 84-day period. Subscribers will have to pay Rs 448 to take up the plan.

In exchange, they’ll receive 2GB of data every day, unlimited calling, and free SMSes. Interestingly enough, Airtel has an existing Rs 448 pack to compete with Jio. That particular deal hands over 1.4GB of data each day, unlimited calling, and 100 SMSes per day.

Airtel’s Rs 448 tariff goes on for 82 days. Crunching some numbers, it promises 114.8GB of data all-in-all. It would have been more convenient if the company had just revamped this plan with more data instead of launching a new one at Rs 1 more.

For those seeking even more data, Airtel has a Rs 558 pack. This deal gives away 3GB of data on a daily basis for 82 days. This totals up to 246GB of 3G/4G data. Plus, there’s the standard unlimited calling and 100 free SMSes each day perks.
