Microsoft opens up new cybersecurity center in India

Microsoft has opened up a brand new Cyber Security Engagement Centre (CSEC) in Gurgaon, marking India as one of the 7 countries where such hubs have sprung up. The enterprise will serve as a meeting ground for the company’s Digital Crime Unit comprised of investigators, attorneys and security response experts.

The new CSEC is meant to drive the public-private partnership in the battle against cybercrime in India. It also aims to strengthen the cooperation between local businesses, government and academic institutions when it comes to the matter of cybersecurity. Furthermore, Microsoft is looking to increase its contribution towards shielding Indian users from cyber threats.

It plans to do so through its Microsoft Consultancy Services (MCS) response team. The group offers services like cyber monitoring, takes advantage of machine learning-based detection technology, and guarantees a quickfire response to any issues facing its customers in India.

The Gurgaon CSEC is set to make use of Microsoft’s DCU Cyber Threat Intelligence Program to monitor and get to the bottom of malware infections. It also supplies actionable information and intelligence for select IP infrastructures.
