The Swipe Elite Dual has just gotten launched in India, arriving on the scene with a pair of dual cameras at the back. It’s the phone’s biggest highlight at its low price of just Rs 3999.
Twin lenses are not very common in the budget market sector, so the Elite Dual does distinguish itself from the rest of the pack by offering an 8MP + 2MP setup. The extra eye is supposed to help add some depth to photos. This in turn allows for bokeh effects which puts the subject in focus and keeps the background blurred.
The rest of the Swipe phone’s specs are strictly entry-level. The handset comes with a 5-inch screen which the company claims is shatterproof. Strangely enough, the brand’s chosen not to disclose the resolution of the display, so that’s a mystery for now.
Joining the dual cameras at the back is a 5MP snapper up front. It’s been paired with an LED flash unit to light up selfies in low-light conditions. There’s also a 3000mAh battery chugging along as a power source. A quad-core 1.3GHz MediaTek processor handles day-to-day operations, while Android 7.1.1 Nougat runs things on the inside.
