ZTE Anthem 4G MetroPCS release date set for the coming weeks

The ZTE Anthem 4G MetroPCS is lined up for launch on the carrier’s 4G LTE network in the US. The smartphone is expected to hit online stores and retail outlets in the coming weeks.

The device offers a generous wedge of Gingerbread and it operates on a dual core CPU clocked at 1.2GHz. The front panel is dominated by a 4.3-inch WVGA capacitive touchscreen, while the exterior houses an HDMI port for streaming content to large screen HDTVs.

“As our first U.S. 4G LTE smartphone, we’re proud to launch the Anthem 4G with our long-time partner MetroPCS because we share their goal of providing consumers with outstanding value and a strong 4GLTE experience,” expressed Lixin Cheng, CEO, ZTE USA, and president, North America Region, ZTE.

The ZTE phone is embedded with dual microphones boasting noise cancellation attributes to play out quality sound with minimum disturbances. Adding more zing to the audio experience is the fact that the device employs Dolby Surround Audio.

Talking about plans, the 4G LTE handset can be paired with any of the network provider’s 4G LTE service schemes (including both tax and regulatory fees) that are tagged between $40 and $70 monthly rental. The offers are also inclusive of a new $55 unlimited 4G LTE promotional plan. The mobile hotspot feature can be availed of with an additional monthly charge.

The ZTE Anthem 4G MetroPCS price and release date details have been disclosed already. It will be made available soon for a price of $219 including taxes and following a mail-in rebate for a limited time through local MetroPCS stores and the official website.
