Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 gets a new Lake Blue variant

The Redmi Note 4 has a new variant in India, with Xiaomi putting a new Lake Blue color up for sale. The model is currently available only in a 4GB of RAM and 64GB of ROM variant.

The Lake Blue Redmi Note 4 is exactly the same as the other variants in terms of specs. As such, it’s priced at the same Rs 12999 cost as the other gold, black and grey 4GB/64GB iterations. Xiaomi says the new option is a limited edition model. It’s currently in stock via the brand’s site, Mi Home outlets, and Flipkart.

Xiaomi is hoping to attract socially conscious buyers with the Lake Blue Redmi Note 4. The handset is part of the brand’s Wake the Lake project which in itself is part of the government’s Swachh Bharat Abhiyan. A share of the proceeds for each sale will contribute towards the company’s efforts to clean up Bengaluru’s lakes which have become the victims of intense water pollution.
