War of alphabets with Samsung Galaxy S, U and K in South Korea?

Samsung logoWe had earlier reported on the Samsung Galaxy S coming with T-Mobile UK. Well, in South Korea this feature rich handset comes through SK Telecom. The sales of this phone are probably rocketing high, since two other carriers want to get their hands on it. According to Engadget LG U+ and KT are coming up with the Samsung Galaxy U and the K respectively.

Reportedly both the companies are fashioning the Galaxy S to suit their styles with these handsets. Yes, with the Galaxy S, U and K users in South Korea will have a variety of handsets to choose from. It looks like these two new phones would just be a little shorter measuring up to 3.7” as compared to the S. Interestingly, its speculated that these devices may feature an AMOLED screen and operate on Android 2.2.

Users in Korea who have for long wanted to check out the Android 2.2 can use it in these new Samsung offerings. The carriers surely do not want to make their consumers wait in the dark and thus there are rumors that these may hit the South Korean streets between August and September.
