If you absolutely do not mind paying up Rs 50,000 for a Windows Phone 8-based device, well, then here’s the Nokia Lumia 1020 that carries a price tag which reads the aforementioned amount. But considering that the gadget in question has a really impressive camera perched on the rear panel, we think the cost is justified.

Although the device went official in India more than a week ago, its price details have surfaced only now. It has been put up for pre-order through the Nokia online store and interested customers have the option of picking it up in either black, yellow or white shades. It has been listed on select online retailing websites as well, but without a price.

So what can you expect from the Nokia Lumia 1020? Well, for starters, an extra-ordinary 41MP camera that makes the most of the PureView technology that was first seen in the 808 PureView Symbian device from the Finnish manufacturer. There are a lot of other attributes that come along with the snapper including optical image stabilization, Carl Zeiss optics, video recording, low-light imaging and more.

A 1.2MP webcam has also been fitted on the smartphone that sports a 4.5-inch AMOLED capacitive touchscreen of 800 x 480p resolution. The Microsoft-certified gadget runs the Windows Phone 8 platform and acquires multitasking properties from a 1.5GHz dual core Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 processor and 2GB of RAM. Moreover, a 2000mAh power pack also hides under the hood to provide a long battery life.

The Nokia Lumia 1020 can be pre-ordered now for half a lakh in India.
