Vodafone tosses new R201 MiFi device in Indian terrain

Companies are crafting new and compact solutions which promise to enhance users’ communication experience with their advanced functionalities. Extending its efforts, Vodafone has uncovered a new miniscule Wi-Fi device for consumers across India dubbed R201.

Owners can seamlessly connect five gizmos concurrently to Vodafone’s 3G network. Designed with sleek characteristics, the unit houses a 1400mAh Li-ion battery which is capable of delivering around four hours of battery life. It also renders a speed of up to 7.2MB/s on HSDPA-enabled devices for continuous 3G internet services.

Kumar Ramanathan, Chief Marketing Officer, Vodafone Essar, remarked, “The Vodafone R201 is designed to provide customers with an advantage of connecting and communicating on-the-go. As a result of our innovation effort, we at Vodafone are introducing an exciting range of products to let our customers experience 3G services at its best. R201 is one such device which builds on our leadership, reiterates our promise of providing unique and innovative offerings for our valued customers”.

The offering comes equipped with a dedicated SIM slot, thereby enabling users to quickly connect their mobile devices. The utility level is leveraged since the solution functions efficiently on battery, mains or USB as well as plug and play software of 128MB flash memory. Featuring a segmented OLED display, this new model is as light as 90 grams.

The Vodafone R201 device can be purchased for Rs. 5,500.
