The Videocon VT85C is the newest addition to the voice calling tablet market in India and this multitasking gadget can be yours if you are willing to shell out Rs 8,999 for it. As it contains a SIM card slot, you can bid goodbye to your phone and stop carrying two gadgets for different purposes.

The very first thing that you will notice about the whitewashed device is its screen which takes up most of the space on the front side. This 7-inch multi-point capacitive touchscreen is capable of rendering visuals in 1024 x 600p resolution. And a VGA webcam also resides alongside the display for allowing you to make video conferencing calls.

On flipping the device over, you will find a 5MP snapper that should have the ability to record decent-quality videos, apart from capturing images. And when it comes to the OS, users can look forward to the Android Jelly Bean 4.2 platform. But we do not know if it is upgradeable or not.

All of these components are packed into an exterior that has dimensions of 192.1 x 121.1 x 10 millimeters. Its total internal memory stands at 4GB and those who think it is too less can insert a microSD card of not more than 32GB capacity in the dedicated slot. The company says that it has practically unlimited phonebook and SMS memory.

Furthermore, the device natively supports 3G networks and is fueled by a 3000mAh battery which should cough up the juice for a long time. A 1.2GHz dual core Cortex A9 processor hides under the hood along with 1GB of system memory to maintain smooth multitasking.

The Videocon VT85C is slated to be available through authorized retailers for a price of Rs 8,999.
