Videocon Infinium Z51 Punch, Infinium Z51Q Star unveiled in India

The Videocon Infinium Z51 Punch and Infinium Z51Q Star budget smartphones have been launched and are priced at Rs 5999 and Rs 5490, respectively. They will be sold via offline and online retailers.

Starting with the Videocon Infinium Z51 Punch, the dual-SIM dual-standby phone has a 5-inch IPS FWVGA (480 x 854p) screen and a 3000mAh battery. It runs on a quad-core processor clocked at 1.2GHz and Android 4.4.2 KitKat. In terms of memory, it has 1GB of RAM and 8GB of internal storage.

Videocon has equipped the phone with a microSD card slot to add up to 32GB of extra space. The device houses an 8MP autofocus rear camera with LED flash, along with a 5MP front-facing snapper for selfies and video calls. Connectivity options consist of Wi-Fi 802.11b/g/n, Bluetooth 2.1, A-GPS and 3G.

Moving on to the cheaper Infinium Z51Q Star, it has a similar set of specifications but differs slightly in some aspects. The smartphone carries a 5MP autofocus rear lens accompanied by LED flash and a 2MP front camera. It’s fuelled by a 2000mAh battery and measures 143.2 x 73.1 x 9.5mm in terms of dimensions.

Both Videocon handsets come in-built with tools such as the V-Safe and V-Secure apps. The former has been designed as an SOS tool for women, children and the elderly. It allows users to send an alert to selected contacts by just shaking their phone or pressing the home button multiple times. The latter is supposed to secure the device from malware and viruses.

The Videocon Infinium Z51 Punch and Infinium Z51Q Star can be bought in a black color. The first is currently selling on Flipkart for Rs 6499, while the second is listed at Rs 5299.
