The Verizon Droid Razr M has been granted its much awaited Jelly Bean update by the carrier in the US. It was back in October that a leak had somewhat given it away that the smartphone is to receive the new version of Google’s Android OS. It has been revealed by the company that the upgraded software has already started being rolled out in phases since yesterday. Moreover, it has also been mentioned that users will be able to manually check in and download it in the next week.
One of the main aspects of the Jelly Bean variant of Android is the immense personalization offered by the new Google Now trait. This little feature displays relevant information that is based on the time and the current location of users. Moreover, users are even able to receive updates of things like local weather forecast before starting their days, and also of how long their commutes will be, based on the amount of traffic and other aspects.
An advanced notification panel also finds its way into Jelly Bean with the ability to display missed calls and emails and letting users return the calls or reply to the emails right from their notifications. Another fresh aspect of this updated OS is its smart keyboard which is said to kick in improved accuracy.
It is even capable of suggesting the next word before it is even typed. This update will also make the Droid Razr M compatible with the ISIS Mobile Wallet. Users in Salt Lake City and Austin will be the first ones to receive the benefits of the service.
This Verizon-exclusive handset carries on it a 4.3-inch Super AMOLED Advanced Display with a qHD resolution of 960 x 540. It features an 8MP camera on its rear, while its front houses a 0.3MP 720p HD video recording snapper. The phone comes with 8GB of internal memory infused in it, and it can be expanded till up to 32GB by means of a microSD card.
