Ustream 3GS Recorder app released for iPhone

Ustream 3GS Recorder The iPhone App Store has a number of applications that allow users to record videos and upload them on the web. For instance, there is an app called Kyte and another one called 12cast. This facility of uploading videos was made possible due to the iPhone’s newly updated software 3.0 which includes recording capabilities.

According to TechCrunch, now even the Ustream app offers this option. Previously, the Ustream iPhone app could only be used for viewing content from the Ustream website.

Videos can now be recorded and sent to Ustream, Facebook, Twitter, YouTube and even Ustream on Facebook. Ustream 3GS Recorder mainly aims at streaming live feeds. However, this iPhone app is restricted to sending recorded videos. This is most probably due to Apple’s regulations that do not currently allow apps to stream live videos.

Besides these options, the app also allows users to download and edit videos that are already uploaded on Ustream, even if they weren’t uploaded by the iPhone.

Additionally, there is the ‘Media Stream’ option that allows broadcasters to complement their videos with supplementary videos. These videos show under the main feed as thumbnails.

This app is available on the App Store for free.
