Recently, it was reported that the Google Voice App was rejected by iPhone when it was submitted for approval. There were speculations that the rejection was due to pressure form AT&T which has an exclusivity agreement with iPhone. Android and BlackBerry users have already received the Google Voice App. Now, according to Engadget, even the Palm Pre has its very own Google Voice application – albeit an unofficial one.
This application enables users to choose contacts from their device and call or SMS text them via a special Google Voice number. This app is not the final version and is still in the process of development. This application, called dkGoogle Voice, has a lot of bugs right now.
It is created specifically for the Palm Pre. Donations to help speed the development of this application are welcomed. This application is quite basic currently, but is definitely going to improve with time.
