Italy recently witnessed the introduction of the LG Optimus Hub, which had debuted some time back as the Univa. All set to expand the line of Optimus devices by the company, this handset is expected to hit the markets in most parts of Europe by October this year, reports Phandroid.

The Univa was first spotted in the second half of August, just around the time when LG set the market abuzz by announcing a mid-September release of the Optimus Sol. With a slab of Gingerbread inside, the Optimus Hub reportedly runs on an ARMv6 processor, which will limit its use of features like Adobe Flash Player, Firefox for Android, and others which require an ARM7 for their operations.

On the outside, the smartphone sports a 3.5″ HVGA LCD touchscreen on the front, while the rear of the device is adorned with a 5MP camera. Also, the Optimus Hub should allow connectivity in terms of Wi-Fi Direct and Bluetooth 3.0. It is also GPS, Wi-Fi and 3G enabled with speed of up to 3.6Mbps HSDPA. Other than this, it consists of a 512MB RAM and the CPU operates at a speed of 800MHz.

The LG Optimus Hub is expected to be wrapped with a price tag of €199. Slated for an October release, it is also said to gain the place of the Optimus One as the company’s flagship device.
