Good news comes knocking for those who use Twitter from their handsets. Well, Twitter has launched their new mobile website reveals the official Twitter blog.
The company discovered that several people were still logging on to the old website when tweeting from their handsets. So Twitter redesigned the old site for them. They allege that the new website includes incredible new touches that could enhance one’s mobile experience on Twitter. When the user accesses the new revamped site, four tabs are present for their Twitter stream, mentions, favorites, and direct messages.
Leland Rechis, the user experience lead on Twitter’s mobile team, mentioned that this newly designed site functions best on Webkit browsers on the Android, iPhone, Nokia S60 and Palm Web OS phones. A better interface for BlackBerrys and other handsets is still being fine-tuned.
When this preview will be geared up for prime-time, the company will begin switching everybody who utilizes ‘m’ in stages to mechanically obtain the latest mobile web client.
Whether this website is suitable and useful to everybody remains to be seen.
