Twelve South’s latest creation is BookBook for iPhone, an accessory designed especially for the iPhone 4. It is a mini-book shaped case that holds all the things usually carried in a wallet along with iPhone 4.
The BookBook for iPhone replaces both, a traditional wallet and an iPhone case. This accessory conveniently holds the iPhone 4. While in it, there are no frames over the iPhone and thus all buttons and ports are accessible. One can also sync or listen to iTunes while the device is in the BookBook. For edge-to-edge access to the iPhone, one can open the BookBook. Sturdy leather cover on the exterior protects your iPhone while soft, chocolate brown suede forms the interior of this convenient holder.
“There are many iPhone cases out there in all shapes and sizes, but we couldn’t find the one we wanted. So we rolled up our sleeves and designed the ultimate case. A cool, pocket-sized book that serves as a wallet and iPhone case. It’s a phone book and checkbook rolled into one,” said Andrew Green, Creative Director at Twelve South.
The BookBook also works efficiently as a wallet. It possesses a fitting window for an ID, along with a thumb slide so that it’s easy to flash it as well as take it out. It also holds two slots for credit and debit cards and a vertical pocket for cash, receipts or business cards. Since it is hand-distressed, no BookBook is exactly the same as any other.
