The creators of Chip’s Challenge have brought a new puzzle game, Chuck’s Challenge for the iPhone. The game has over 100 levels and comes with an instinctive paint-style interface which allows users to create and share levels by themselves.
This challenge begins with Chuck finding out that an alien called Woop has told him to build video games for them to play. The game comes in four different modes- single player, race, create and weekly puzzle. In single player mode, one plays through the main story and the best times of the game are uploaded online. The create mode allows generatings new levels whereas race is a multi-player mode where you can see who finishes first through the levels. With weekly puzzle, one single player puzzle can be downloaded every week.
“I’m really excited about launching a game that has taken the many things I learned creating Chip’s Challenge and collaborating with the community for over two decades, and mixing it with new concepts such as social and multi-player gaming. The game goes beyond a one-way broadcast experience where we are doing something for the players, to an experience where we are doing something with the players… creating a user-generated content platform for gamers,” expressed Chuck Sommerville, creator of Chuck’s Challenge.
Chuck’s Challenge has 12 characters including Chuck and Woop and over 70 game elements. It is designed with 15 race levels and comes with additional downloadable levels. The game also comes with Apple Game Center integration.
